The overall goal of the Northeast County Deanery’s Excellence in Education Initiative is to discover and plan for how we can best continue to provide excellence in Catholic elementary education for all of the children of our Deanery.

 Our overall objective of the Initiative is to provide for our children by developing a shared vision of the future of Catholic elementary education that is true to the hopes, dreams and desires of the parents, pastors, principals, parishioners and archdiocesan leaders and provides for:

• The continuation of a genuine Catholic identity;
• Excellence in all academic programs;
• Affordability, accessibility and sustainability; and
• A means by which the parishes in our deanery can collaborate with each other to achieve economies of scale in the operation of our schools.

 Times have changed and we must adapt to the world around us. The traditional models are not as successful as they once were and may become less successful over time. We must find new ways to structure, finance and operate our Catholic schools. In this Initiative we are all called to think differently, and deeper about the future of our Catholic schools.  Lets discover and build on our strengths to create an exciting and achievable vision of the future for our children’s Catholic education.
